Good Morning Eyeballs!
Happy HUMP DAY!
….OMG…I am SO kidding. I don’t know what it is about that phrase, but it makes me cringe. I’m embarrassed for it. I want to hide when I hear it, and I was hoping to evoke that same reaction from you just for kicks.
<Evil Grin> Bahahahaha
It’s all in good fun, of course. You know I love you. But really, I hope you’re feeling jazzed and healthy on this fine Wednesday.
Today is a special one, Homies.
It’s the kick-off of a *new* Daily Dubie series, called “DD Defines…” which is exactly what it sounds like – I explain what something means to me; a mí; pour moi! – So, it will be biased, subjective and obviously very juicy! Yeah. Fun stuff.
PARTY IN THE U.S.A.!
Now, let’s jump right into the goods and talk…
WHAT IT MEANS TO BE HEALTHY…
In a nutshell a believe HEALTH IS HAPPINESS. A healthy person is happy with themselves first and foremost, and confident in their capability to love, trust, be and do.
The foundation to good health is internal. It’s not about what we eat or how often we exercise. The “food stuff” comes secondary to our emotional health.
Here’s what I mean…
Loads of people have a very superficial, on-the-surface understanding of “being healthy.” They equate health with having a physically fit body by means of exercise and eating a lot of fruits, veggies, maybe forgoing dairy, gluten or animal products altogether – hey to each his own. The point is, how you look on the outside is not always a reflection of how you feel on the inside.
You’d be surprised by the number of people I’ve come across in my health coaching career (and even now teaching Pilates!) who have stunning bodies and appear to be poster-children of good health, but their reality couldn’t be further from the truth.
I know, shocker right?
I’ve seen people struggle from low self-esteem, body image issues, relationship issues (you name it) and while they look healthy, they’re really miserable on inside. They don’t lead happy, fulfilling lives because they don’t allow themselves to. That is why I believe so strongly that a healthy lifestyle first begins with a healthy mind.
Our thoughts ARE our reality!
How we choose to process information will either encourage us or derail us from leading a HEALTHY, kickass life.
The same can be said for people who might not appear to be in the best shape. On the outside, they might not look like Bar Rafaeli, but they exude confidence and are so obviously happy with themselves and their life, which is WAY hotter and much more attractive than having the perfect coconut derriere.
A healthy mind trumps a perfect bod…
….Then..only then does the food stuff and exercise come into play. Both are almost always a byproduct of being happy and confident with yourself, becauuuuuuuse
…if you value yourself, you’ll value your health.
Ain’t that the truth!
And, sometimes, it’s healthy to…
Fuck the six pack.
Eat a Burger.
Be you… and OWN IT goddammit! = OMG SO HOT!!!
That’s all I have to say about that.
I love you. Besos for ALL.
