What's up Luvahs?!?!... I'm BACK! ...and so soon, I know! Very exciting! ![]()
Now, I'm going to go off on a teeny, tiny tangent really quick, to share some sexy photos of Me & HB on our Anniversary.
<Enter>: Sexy Photoshoot
Location: Mr. Chow @ 57th Street - NYC original, baby!
*With this photo here...is it obvious who thought they looked hot?! <cough> <cough> ...Certainly it's wasn't my precious husband, who's head I cut-off (even though he does look gorge!)...A very cringe-worthy moment, indeed. But at least I admit it! No fronting going on here...Baaaaahahahahaha!
In fact, I find it even more cringe-able when I see people post photos of themselves, that they SO OBVIOUSLY posed for - especially when everyone else in the photo is looking the other way, or closing their eyes - LOL. Hey, we've all done it. Admit it. Own it. Love it.
Photoshoot nonsense aside, let's get on with the show already!!! ... BUN BURNING, here we come! As per my last post, I would like to address this issue we all experience at some point, and that is, when we over-do things at the gym, and when to know it's time to ease-up, and be kind to your body.
Let's Chat: When Bun-Burning leads to BURN-OUT!

Over the past few weeks, I've been very jazzed about the new treadmill workouts I've been doing- thanks to @PBFingers! However, I felt a burnout coming on after a few weeks time. These treadmill exercises all implement great use of the incline (which I LOVE), but I started to feel exhausted, and depleted post-exercise, instead of energized and strong. If I did not listen to my body, lord knows my a$$ would be up to my neck by now-as an incline is known to be a fabulous booty-booster! But thankfully, I listened, and my buns are right where they should be
.
If your workout leaves you feeling exhausted, depleted, and achy, take that as a sign you need to LIGHTEN UP THE LOAD!
I knew that I had to ease-up, and so I did! Here are ways you can take a hiatus from your intense workout, without having to give the peace sign to your gym:

- Walk it out! --> Walking is a wonderful, low-impact way to get in cardio!
- Pilates --> A personal favorite, Pilates works wonders on your body - strengthening and lengthening every square inch of it! It's also low-impact, and extremely therapeutic, commonly used for physical rehabilitation.
- Yoga --> Keeps you limber, and can be a very restorative practice, (as well as extremely challenging).
- Stretching --> It is SO important to stretch DAILY, especially if you work out 5+ times a week. The tighter you are, the more prone to injury you are. Stretch! Stretch! Stretch!
- Elliptical --> A great, low-impact, way to get in your cardio - can be equally as effective as the treadmill.
- Hot Salt Bath
- Massage

And last, but certainly not least...I leave you with this:
The world won't end if you have to take a few days off from exercise! BE OKAY WITH THAT! Think of it as a TREAT to your body! In good time, your body will recover, and be ready for action again, if you allow it the rest it needs. The price you pay for injury is much worse than the price you pay for skipping out on the gym.
Know it. Live it. Love it.
Now go on already, and SPOIL your Buns!
They deserve it sometimes!
I'm out for now, Lovers! It's been swell!
