Good Evening! Good Evening! …and a very HAPPY MONDAY to each and every one of you!
Today is special. For most in the New York/New Jersey area, it is our first day back to (somewhat) normalcy after our lives were turned upside down last week.
Today marks the one week anniversary of the extremely bitchy superstorm, otherwise known as Sandy, who’s been all up in your news grill for the past 8 days. She ate, chewed, swallowed and spit out a greater part of the Northeast, leaving millions without life’s bare necessities of power, running water, and for some, a roof over their head. It was truly tragic, but it was also pretty incredible to see so many people come together to help support one another. An experience I would never wish upon anyone, but one I am truly thankful for, and will always remember.

…And as of this morning, the hot water is in FULL effect! I’ve never felt so blessed! Many a cold shower was taken over the weekend-which wouldn’t have been so bad, if we had California’s 90 degree weather-which is totally laaaame bytheway–Instead, we were gifted with an awesome cold front, climbing to a toasty 40 degrees with wind chill.
Yeeee Hawwww, It’s freezeballs! But, no complaints over here. We have lights, we have heat. ‘Nuff said.
Alright, with Sandy officially behind us, I’m going to callate (shut up) and take a swan dive into today’s…

Wednesday: Since starting my Pilates certification, I’ve had to adapt to grabbing my meals and going most of the time, which, lucky for you, has forced me to get innovative with meal and snack ideas that are wholesome (no packaged foods here!), healthy and will provide me with enough energy to get through my days.
